Background: Religiosity is a complex, multifaceted construct, comprising variety of beliefs and behaviours. Much the previous research that seeks to quantify religiosity has made use variable-centred approaches, which place individuals on continuum religiosity. However, alternative approaches provide way examine different types religiosity, represented by heterogeneous classes religious (non)belief. The aim this study was apply person-centred approach understanding beliefs. For this, we range indicators. We also examined number socioeconomic factors, differences between classes, using logistic regression. A Person-Centered Examination of Adolescent Religiosity Using Latent Class Analysis.

Characterizing Longitudinal Patterns of Physical Activity in Mid-Adulthood Using Latent Class Analysis: Results From a Prospective Cohort Study

The authors aimed to describe how longitudinal patterns of physical activity during mid-adulthood (ages 31-53 years) can be characterized using latent class analysis in a population-based birth cohort study, the Medical Research Council's 1946 National Survey of Health and Development. Three different types of physical activity-walking, cycling, and leisure-time physical activity-were analyzed ...

Identifying clinically distinct subgroups of self-injurers among young adults: a latent class analysis.

High rates of nonsuicidal self-injury (NSSI; 14%-17%) in adolescents and young adults suggest that some self-injurers may exhibit more or different psychiatric problems than others. In the present study, the authors utilized a latent class analysis to identify clinically distinct subgroups of self-injurers. Participants were 205 young adults with a history of 1 or more NSSI behaviors. Latent cl...
